Allegheny County homicide detectives are investigating the death of a worker who fell through a roof Tuesday in Scott.

The medical examiner's office said this morning that Melvin Kinsinger, 38, of Greenville, Mercer County, was pronounced dead at the scene, an industrial park in the 1000 block of Gregg Street. Investigators were called there at 2:34 p.m. for reports that the man had fallen through the roof.

The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration was also called to investigate. Allegheny County police could not immediately be reached for further comment this morning.
