I-79 southbound lane to close at Bridgeville starting today

Southbound Interstate 79 will be reduced to a single lane from Bridgeville to the Washington County line from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily through Friday, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced.

Crews will complete installation of cable median guide rail, which is designed to prevent crossover head-on collisions. The lane closure has caused significant backups on previous weekdays.
