A team of forensic anthropologists was working this afternoon to excavate human remains that were found this week in Georges, Fayette County.

Workers in the Fayette County coroner's office said they called in Dennis Dirkmaat and his crew from Mercyhurst University in Erie to help remove the body.

Investigators suspect they know who the man is but have not yet confirmed his identity, according to the coroner's office.

A man named Rodney Lincoln was reported missing in Georges in the middle of the summer and has not been seen since.

Pennsylvania State Police in Uniontown are leading the investigation and could not immediately be reached for comment.
