Fayette County man killed when ATV crashes into rock

A Fayette County man died late Wednesday night after the all-terrain vehicle he was riding crashed into a rock on the Yough River Bike Trail in Dunbar.
Jason Burnsworth, 27, and Erin Burnsworth, 25, both flew off the vehicle when they hit the rock shortly before 11:30 p.m. Mr. Burnsworth was pronounced dead at the scene, and Ms. Burnsworth was taken to Highlands Hospital in Connellsville for treatment.
State troopers who investigated the crash were not available for comment Thursday night.
Officials do not plan to do an autopsy on Mr. Burnsworth. Keeping with normal protocol, toxicology tests will be performed on Mr. Burnsworth, according to the Fayette County coroner's office.
