Clairton woman killed, husband wounded

A Clairton woman was killed and her husband critically wounded in a shooting Sunday night in their residence.
The Allegheny County medical examiner's office identified the woman as 40-year-old Shawnta Lee. An autopsy found she died from a gunshot wound to the chest.
An arrest warrant has been issued for a suspect, James Garland Watts, 42, of Clairton. He also is known to frequent McKeesport, police said. He is wanted on charges of homicide, attempted homicide and aggravated assault.
Investigators said the couple were wounded in their Baker Avenue home in a shooting reported at 9:58 p.m.
Ms. Lee was taken to UPMC Mercy where she was pronounced dead at 10:49 p.m., police said.
Her husband, 53-year-old David Lee, underwent emergency surgery, and he might not yet know the fate of his wife, police said.
Investigators said Mr. Watts is considered armed and dangerous. He is described as a black man, 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing about 165 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
