A Castle Shannon woman police described as "endangered" was found safe today in Pittsburgh's East Liberty neighborhood.

Joan Lynn Meissonier, 59, had told relatives she wanted to live on the streets before she disappeared from her home New Year's Eve.

Castle Shannon police Chief Kenneth M. Truver said in a press release an acquaintance found Ms. Meissonier and called one of her relatives.

Chief Truver thanked callers for their numerous tips and cited the help of Pittsburgh police in finding Ms. Meissonier.
