Carrick woman hit by vehicle dies

A woman in critical condition after a vehicle hit her Friday morning in Carrick has died.

The Allegheny County medical examiner's office identified the woman as Patricia Meinke, 59, of Carrick.

She was pronounced dead at 7 p.m. Monday at UPMC Mercy.

Ms. Meinke, who was on foot, was hit at Brownsville Road and Woodford Avenue about 6:15 a.m. Friday, an Allegheny County dispatch supervisor said.

The driver stopped at the scene.

The Pittsburgh police accident investigations unit is investigating.
