Bridgeville Borough council last night approved a new three-year contract for the police department, calling for 2 percent raises in each year of the agreement.

The contract covers only full-time officers and grants an additional personal day in lieu of extra compensation for officers who are in charge of a shift.

"This contract only covers full-time officers. It does not include part-time officers in any way," borough manager Lori Collins said.
