The Bethel Park school board approved the final budget for 2012-13 tonight that will raise the property tax rate by .52 mills. The final budget is $73,257,025 and includes no program or staff cuts.

The millage increase will mean an extra $52 a year for a home valued at $100,000, and the total millage is 25.49 mills.

They also approved a 0.5 per cent Real Property Transfer Tax, a 0.5 per cent Earned Income Tax, and a Mechanical Amusement Tax of $50 per jukebox and $100 for other mechanical amusement devices.

The budget vote was unanimous. Board members Tim Campbell, Richard Rose, and Ronald Sustich were not present.
