Bethel Park intersection of Broughton and Baptist roads reopens

A season of construction detours and lane closures around the intersection of Broughton and Baptist roads in Bethel Park has ended.

All restrictions at the site of a $3.9 million project to modernize and add turn lanes at the intersection have been lifted, PennDOT announced this morning.

Broughton has been closed eastbound from Paxton Drive to Sansue Drive and Baptist was closed both ways between Broughton and Higbee drive and to northbound traffic from Broughton to Horning Road since March.

Another season of work will be required to complete the project.
