Police were searching Monday for a suspect in a home invasion Sunday night on Charlotte Drive in Baldwin Borough.

Ryan Hecker was at a nearby gas station when a man got in the car and told him to drive home, Baldwin police Chief Michael Scott said.

The man said another car was following. When they arrived at Mr. Hecker's house, the man pulled out a revolver.

"It was one of those deals where he wanted quote-unquote 'the money,' " Chief Scott said.

Mr. Hecker jumped out a window of the house to escape. When other residents of the house appeared, the man fled in the car that was following.

Mr. Hecker's sister told police that she recognized the man through a family friend but had not seen him in about two years, Chief Scott said. The chief would not identify the man publicly.

Police suspect the man is from McKeesport, and police there are assisting in the search.
