Allegheny County police get arrest warrant in Clairton gunshots

Allegheny County police are searching for a man who they say fired several shots into a home in Clairton as part of a recent dispute between two long-feuding families.
In connection with a shooting at a duplex in the 100 block of Baker Avenue early Friday morning, detectives obtained a warrant charging Cornell Hurt, 23, with attempted homicide, criminal conspiracy, discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, carrying a firearm without a license, aggravated assault and two counts of reckless endangerment.
Three other homes in Clairton were riddled with bullets that morning in shootings police say may have been retaliatory.
In a criminal complaint, detectives said Hurt may have been targeting Lindsey Wright, whose brother, Keith, was convicted of killing another brother at a New Year's Day party in 2011.
On Thursday night, a few hours before the shooting, Wright paid a visit to a woman who lives in the Baker Avenue home with her 5-year-old daughter, according to the complaint. Mr. Hurt came to the house at around 3:15 a.m. with another man, according to the complaint.
Both men pulled out guns and fired a total of 15 shots at the windows of the home, according to the complaint.
About 15 minutes later, about a dozen shots were fired into the Waddell Avenue home of Hurt's mother, Tera Smith.
No arrests have been made in that shooting or in the two other shootings -- at homes on Boundary and Holcomb avenues -- early Friday.
