Water warning lifted in Armstrong County

Pennsylvania American Water says it's safe for customers to drink their water again.
Water restrictions were placed Friday on 2,100 households in Kittanning, Applewold and portions of Manor and Rayburn townships after routine water samples discovered a spike in pH levels.
Residents were advised to use bottled water or alternative sources for drinking, bathing, hand washing, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, cooking or food preparation until further notice.
In a news release issued Sunday, the company said the advisory was issued due to a loss in positive water pressure, and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection authorized the removal of the advisory after water samples collected Saturday and Sunday showed acceptable bacteria levels.
