Water main break closes section of Harts Run Road in Hampton

A section of Harts Run Road east of Route 8 in Hampton is closed this morning because of a water main break.
Hampton police said the main thoroughfare is closed between Clearview and Woodland roads, about a tenth of a mile. The break occurred around 5:45 a.m. near the intersection of Harts Run and Middle roads.
Crews are on scene, but the heavily used road is expected to be "closed for a while," police said. It's too early to tell how long the repair will take, according to the Hampton Shaler Water Authority.
