A $3.68 million reconstruction and widening project was scheduled to begin today on Warrendale Bayne Road in Marshall.

Work includes reconstructing and widening for additional travel and turn lanes, improved drainage, traffic signals, guide rail and resurfacing. Improvements will be made to the northbound Interstate 79 off-ramp to Warrendale Bayne Road and the intersections of Innovation Drive and Warrendale Bayne Road and northbound Route 19 and Thorn Hill Road. Overall work will conclude in spring 2013.

Beginning at approximately 9 a.m. today, the following restrictions will be implemented around the clock through late November:

Warrendale Bayne Road will be reduced to a single lane in each direction between the entrances to 7-Eleven and Jergels east of Route 19. Brush Creek Road will be reduced to a single 11-foot-wide lane in each direction for widening work needed to add a new right-turn lane from southbound Brush Creek to westbound Warrendale Bayne.

Traffic on the northbound I-79 off-ramp to Warrendale Bayne Road will be restricted to a single 12-foot wide lane shifted to the right. Work includes widening on the ramp to add a new left-turn lane at Warrendale Bayne Road. Restrictions will be lifted for the winter.
