Some might call Cindy Eddy crazy for having 10 dogs in the house, but she loves them dogs and wants them inside with the rest of the family.

Mrs. Eddy and her 16-year-old son, Austin, use some of them to compete in the sport of dogsledding.

Her husband Ray wasn't sold on the dogs at first, but relented and has embraced the pack.

"After about the fourth one, he said he was leaving," Mrs. Eddy says, "the fifth one, he said he was leaving. After the 10th, he hasn't left yet, so if he does, I'll probably replace him with a couple more dogs," she said laughing. "He's come a long way with loving the dogs, it's an acquired way of living." That's true -- now Ray loves the dogs, allowing six of them to share the couple's queen-sized bed at night.

And dog sledding doesn't look the way it used to, Austin lets his dogs pull him on a specially modified bike when there's no snow.

After a day of working outside with the dogs, Mrs. Eddy is covered in dirt. When the dogs go inside, she has lots of dirty paws to deal with, but she wouldn't have it any other way.

"It's a bond, like having kids, I could never put them out in the backyard. I love my babies and I'll deal with the mud."
