The driver of a van was injured after she lost control as she was trying to park and rammed the vehicle through the side of a jewelry store in Marshall on Saturday.

The unnamed female driver appeared to have hit her head, but was otherwise unharmed before she was taken to a local hospital by ambulance, said Reza Lighat, owner of Casa D'Oro jewelry store, which is located in the 4 Points by Sheraton hotel.

No one in the store was harmed in the accident that occurred at 1:45 p.m. Saturday, even though there were about 12 employees working and 100 people shopping inside the large jewelry store, he said.

"Everyone is fine, thank god," said Mr. Lighat, who has run his store out of the hotel space for 29 years. "But it was pretty scary."

Northern Regional Police are still investigating the accident and would not comment about the case.
