U.S. Postal Service employees accused of stealing mail

Two U.S. Postal Service employees were indicted Tuesday and accused of stealing mail, according to court documents unsealed today.
Christopher L. Demorest Sr., 39, of Greensburg, is accused of taking a greeting card containing $25 and two other greeting cards meant for three people identified in the indictment only by their initials.
Shaun G. Westfall, 32, of Baden, took parcels meant for two people who are identified in the indictment only by initials, according to court filings which provide no other details.
Both are set to be arraigned March 26, according to the U.S. District Court docket.
Neither man could be reached for comment and there are as yet no attorneys listed for them on the docket.
A Postal Service spokesman could not be immediately reached.
Theft of mail by a postal employee is a felony.
