Two killed, one injured in Butler County crash

Two women were killed and another seriously injured when two vehicles crashed head-on in Butler County.
State police said Kendra Proctor, 22, of Oil City, and Ruth Leidecker, of Wexford, 88, were killed in the Wednesday evening collision on Route 19.
According to police, Ms. Proctor was driving north on Route 19 in Muddy Creek Township shortly after 5 p.m. when she crossed the center line and crashed head-on into a car driven by Sherlaine Kowalski, 72, of Gibsonia. Ms. Leidecker was a passenger in Ms. Kowalski's car.
Ms. Proctor and Ms. Leidecker were flown to Pittsburgh hospitals, where they were pronounced dead. Ms. Kowalski was flown to UPMC Presbyterian with serious injuries, police said.
All three were wearing seat belts, according to police.
The accident occurred near Bauder School Road.
