True crime movie films in Sewickley Heights

A bit of Hollywood has once again descended upon our area: "Foxcatcher," a big-budget movie about the 1996 shooting death of an Olympic wrestler, has been filming in Sewickley Heights.
Last week, the filming took place at Wilpen Hall, a private residence and historic mansion on Blackburn Road in Sewickley Heights. The mansion, added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2011, was built in 1897 by the William Penn Snyder family of Shenango Steel. The Snyder family has been the only family to live there, and the home is now occupied by William Penn Snyder III.
"Foxcatcher" is the story of John DuPont, an heir to the DuPont chemical company who was found guilty but mentally ill in the shooting death of his friend, Olympic wrestler David Schultz. Schultz was living and training at Foxcatcher Farm, an estate in Philadelphia owned by the duPont family, at the time of his death.
DuPont later died at age 72 in a Somerset County prison.
The film, directed by Bennett Miller ("Moneyball," "Capote") stars Steve Carell as duPont, Mark Ruffalo as Schultz and Channing Tatum as Schultz's brother. "Foxcatcher" also stars Sienna Miller, who is making a reappearance in the area.
The movie has wrapped up filming in Sewickley Heights but is expected to be shooting in the Pittsburgh area until Thanksgiving.
