Tornado hits Butler County; no damage reported

Officials with the National Weather Service yesterday confirmed the formation of a tornado Tuesday evening in Butler County.
The tornado, which touched down in Moraine State Park between 8 and 9 p.m., was classified as an EF-0, the smallest classification of a tornado, with winds of 65 to 85 mph.
There are no homes in the area and officials said they could not find a path of damage.
The weather service also reported that storms yesterday knocked down trees in Yellow Creek State Park in Indiana County and caused flash flooding in Wilmerding, where several roads had to be closed.
