Three killed in two-car crash in Venango County

Three Oil City residents were killed in a two-vehicle crash Saturday night in Venango County.
State police at Franklin said the Taylor R. Knight, 25, of Oil City, had lost control of his speeding car while westbound on Route 157 near Heckathorn Church Road. After initially going off the road, Mr. Knight over-steered, causing the car to slide into the oncoming lane where it struck an eastbound vehicle driven by Joseph C. King, 52, of Oil City.
The crash happened at about 6:15 p.m.
Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. Mr. King's wife, Laura L. King, 51, was transported to UPMC Northwest in Seneca where she was pronounced dead.
No one was wearing a seat belt.
