ROSS

McKnight Road lanes restricted

Northbound traffic will be restricted to a single lane on the McKnight Road bridge over Babcock Boulevard from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today through Saturday while crews install bridge railing as the final phase of the $8.8 million, 4.6-mile repair project between Nelson Run and Perrymont roads.

Southbound traffic will not be affected at this time.

The project involved milling and resurfacing, concrete pavement patching, drainage, guide rail, concrete barrier, curb and sidewalk improvements, curb ramp installation, signing and pavement markings, and signal upgrades.

A major portion of the project involved bridge preservation with installation of a latex modified concrete deck surface, reset rocker bearings, new pedestrian railings, concrete repairs, and other improvements.

Overall work will conclude in the spring. The prime contractor is Lindy Paving Inc. of New Castle.
