Seneca Valley Middle School gets Blue Ribbon

Seneca Valley Middle School in Harmony was named by the U.S. Department of Education as one of eight 2012 National Blue Ribbon Schools in Pennsylvania.
On Friday, the department named 269 schools nationwide as Blue Ribbon schools based on their overall high academic achievement or for making progress in improving student academic achievement levels. Seneca Valley Middle School was chosen for its "exemplary high performance," a designation that means it is among the state's highest-performing schools.
The 219 public and 50 private schools chosen will be honored at a recognition ceremony Nov. 12-13 in Washington, D.C.
