Route 28 southbound shut down at Millvale this weekend

Route 28 southbound will be closed at the Millvale interchange this weekend while crews replace expansion dams on the bridge that runs over the interchange.
Weather permitting, the southbound lanes will close at 8 p.m. Friday and reopen at 5 a.m. on Monday, PennDOT spokesman Jim Struzzi said. Police will be on scene to help direct traffic.
The replacement is part of a $3.5 million construction project set to wrap up late this fall.
