PennDOT will close inbound Route 28 at the Millvale interchange this weekend to replace a concrete slab and bridge bearings. The work cannot be done with traffic on the bridges.

All traffic will be detoured using the off- and on-ramps at the interchange.

Previous weekend closures have produced considerable delays at times. Police will assist in traffic control.

The closure will begin at 8 p.m. Friday and the highway will reopen by 5 a.m. Monday.

Also on Route 28, traffic will be stopped in both directions near the Russellton-Little Deer Creek Road overpass north of the Route 910 interchange for about five minutes around 10 a.m. today while Comcast removes an overhead line.
