Ross warns of door-to-door contractors

Ross commissioners want residents to be wary of contractors who solicit business by knocking on doors.
Commissioner Dan DeMarco said tonight that some residents have been ripped off by contractors who offer to seal their driveway for a low price, instead putting down paint that washes away in the rain.
Mr. DeMarco urged residents to check references before hiring anybody to do work at their houses.
