Ross Township commissioners tweaked an ordinance tonight that was passed in July that set a no-parking zone on the narrowest part of Fairley Road.

After the ordinance was passed, a resident claimed that the measurements in the original ordinance were incorrect. Police Chief Robert Bellan said the department's traffic department determined that the resident was correct.

The change was approved 8-0-1 with Chris Eyster abstaining.

Fairley Road residents have been involved in a long-running dispute over on-street parking with residents on both sides of the dispute unable to get their mail delivered.

Resident Robert Ansell told commissioners that the road does not meet the township's requirements for a road to be 40 feet wide.

"How many Band-Aids does this township have to put on that street up there before you get it straight," he asked.
