Ross lowers millage to offset reassessment

Ross Township commissioners Monday officially lowered the millage rate for residents.
Commissioners unanimously approved an ordinance setting the tax rate for 2013 at 2.7 mills, a reduction of 3/10 of a mill.
The new millage rate allows the township to realize the 5 percent "windfall" allowed after a reassessment.
