Ross Township's proposed 2013 budget is slightly higher than the current budget, but residents may see a lower tax bill.

Ordinances setting the budget and tax rate were introduced at the commissioners' meeting today.

The general fund budget is $15,775,240, an increase of less than $400,000. Interim Manager Debby Grass is recommending that commissioners lower millage from 3 mills to 2.7 mills.

Commissioners will vote on the budget and tax rate at their Dec. 17 meeting.
