Police investigating death of New Castle man

New Castle police are investigating the death of a 71-year-old man found in a wooded area in Mahoningtown.
Police said a person spotting deer found the body of Leroy Blashak and contacted authorities shortly after 1 p.m. Tuesday. Mr. Blashak, of New Castle, appeared to have been riding a bicycle when he was struck by a bullet.
An autopsy conducted by Lawrence County Coroner Russell Noga recovered a bullet from Mr. Blashak's right shoulder.
