COMMUNITY FORUM
McCandless -- The Pittsburgh North People for Peace will present a Peace Forum at 3 p.m. Sunday in Kearns Spirituality Center, 9000 Babcock Blvd. Shannon Smithey, associate professor of political science at Westminster College, will explore the constitutional aspects of gun control followed by a discussion. CRAFT SHOW
Etna -- All Saints Church Christian Mothers & Guild will hold its annual spring craft and vendor show from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the activities building on Dewey Street. Refreshments and raffles will be available.
FUNDRAISERS
Shaler -- The Shaler Area marching band will hold a pancake breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Shaler Area Middle School cafeteria on Mount Royal Blvd. The menu will consist of pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, coffee, milk, apple juice and orange juice. Cost: adults, $6; senior citizens and ages 6-12, $4; youger than 5, free.
Natrona Heights -- Center United Methodist Church, 1575 Donnellville Road, will hold "Zumbathon -- Together We Dance" from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday to raise awareness and money for research into ALS, or Lou Gehrig's disease. The event is open to anyone age 12 or older. It iwll include prizes, food and more. Registration: $15. Information: 724-584-0645.
VOLUNTEER
Areawide -- North Hills Community Outreach is seeking senior companions for its Faith in Action program. Volunteers must be 55 or older and able to serve 15 to 40 hours per week. Senior companions must meet certain income guidelines. They receive a stipend, meal allowance, free monthly training, camaraderie and the satisfaction of helping people in need. LIBRARIES
McCandless -- The Amateur Astronomy Club will meet at 7 p.m. next Thursday at Northland Public Library, 300 Cumberland Road. Anyone interested in astronomy is invited to join, share information and get ideas. The club meets on the fourth Thursday of each month. New members always welcome. No registration required.

Richland -- The North Hills Historic Auto Club will hold its annual auto-related flea market from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at Krebs Dodge, Route 8. Admission: $1. Information: 412-600-9580.
SEMINAR
Richland -- St. Barnabas Medical Center, 5850 Meridian Road, will hold a free seminar on hospice care by registered nurse Becky Carr, director of patient services for the center, at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. She will discuss what services hospice provides, who provides hospice care and how hospice is covered financially. Information: 724-443-7231.
