HEALTH

McCandless -- The Legacy Lineup at Cumberland Woods Village will hold a free heart screening event with cardiologists from the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday. Cumberland Woods Village is next to UPMC Passavant, 700 Cumberland Woods Drive.

LIBRARIES

Richland -- The Northern Tier Regional Library, 4015 Dickey Road, will hold the following programs:

• Zumba, a six-week series at 6:30 p.m. Mondays, Feb. 18 to March 25. A fee of $30 will be charged for the series, or pay as you go at $7 per session. Information: 724-449-2665.

RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES

Natrona Heights -- Center United Methodist Church, 1575 Donnellville Road, will present the "Created by God" church-based sexuality education program for 5th-, 6th- and 7th-graders and their parents. Sessions will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Feb. 28, parents only; 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. March 1, students only; 9 a.m. to noon, and 1 to 3 p.m., March 2, students only; 2 to 5 p.m., students only, 5:45 to 7:45 p.m., students and parents, March 3. Cost is $30 per child or $50 for two children from the same family. Child care will be available upon request, Thursday and Sunday evenings. Registration deadline is Feb. 25. SEMINAR

Richland -- Alice Link, master tax adviser with H&R Block, will be the guest speaker at 2 p.m. next Thursday, at The Village at St. Barnabas, 5850 Meridian Road. Her topic is "Making Tax Season Less Taxing." The seminar is free, and refreshments will be served. Information: 724-444-5508.

SPECIAL INTEREST

Cheswick -- OCA (formerly the Organization of Chinese Americans) will sponsor a Year of the Snake Lunar New Year Banquet Event at 5 p.m. Feb. 23 in Syria Shrine Center, 1877 Shriners Way. The event will include a Mandarin-style, 12-course banquet provided by the Pittsburgh Chinese Restaurant Association; door prizes; silent auction; and a wide variety of colorful performances by OCA's Youth Performance Ensemble, Filipino American Association of Pittsburgh and Gina Bao of Win-Win Kung Fu Cultural Center.
