CHURCH ACTIVITIES
McCandless -- North Hills Community Baptist Church, 7801 Thompson Run Road, will hold a SeaSide escape from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 9. The event is a beach-themed women's retreat featuring Bible study, worship and fellowship. Cost: $15, includes lunch and materials. Information: 412-366-2662.

COMMUNITY FORUM
McCandless -- Pittsburgh North People for Peace will host a community forum with guest speaker David Cobb of the Move to Amend campaign from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at the Ryan Room at La Roche College, 9000 Babcock Blvd. Information: 412-367-0383.
LIBRARIES
McCandless -- Northland Public Library, 300 Cumberland Road, in cooperation with AARP, will offer free tax preparation assistance for senior citizens and low-income residents from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting Tuesday through April 11. IRS-trained volunteers will help with preparing state and federal forms. Bring all necessary paperwork. The service is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. A sign-up sheet will be outside the lower lobby entrance for early arrivals to register.
SEMINAR
McCandless -- The Legacy Lineup at Cumberland Woods Village, 700 Cumberland Woods Drive, will present a free Lifelong Learning Seminar at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Kenwyn J. Belkot, president of Freedom Financial Corp., will present "What Should I Do With My Retirement Money?" Attendees will be guided through the process of determining their retirement income goal and given an overview of the investments most commonly used to produce retirement income.
