HOLIDAY HAPPENINGS

Indiana Township -- The Fairview Elementary School PTO will hold its Holiday Extravaganza from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the school, 738 Dorseyville Road. The shopping fair will feature more than 50 artisan crafters and vendors, a gift basket raffles, baked-good sale and more.

McCandless -- The North Hills Chorale will present its holiday concert, "A Bouquet of Carols," at the Kearns Spirituality Center chapel on the campus of La Roche College. Performances are at 7 p.m. Saturday, and 3 p.m. Sunday. A freewill offerings and non-perishable food item for North Hills Community Outreach Food Pantry are being accepted. Sewickley -- St. James Parish along with the Knights of Columbus Council 5367, will hold its annual children's Christmas Party from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 17, in the Gathering Space. Pizza, cookies and a visit by Santa, Mrs. Clause and Coco the Clown are also part of the event. St. James Catholic Church is at 200 Walnut Street. Information: 412-741-6650.

Zelienople -- Park United Presbyterian Church, at Grandview and Main streets, will present The Boar's Head Festival at 7 p.m. Saturday and 5 p.m. Sunday. This one-hour-long program is one of the oldest known Christmas celebrations with an ancient and traditional service of Christmas music. The event is free but tickets are required. SEMINAR

Richland -- Linda Eastman, Licensed Massage Therapist, will present "De-stress for the Holidays: How Massage Therapy Can Help" at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, in Hilltop Hall at The Village at St. Barnabas, 5850 Meridian Road. She will discuss the benefits of massage therapy including tips on how to de-stress for the holidays and every day. Free massages will be offered after the talk. Information: 724-443-7231.

Sharpsburg -- Volunteers of America of Pennsylvania, at 1650 Main St., will hold a free brown bag lunch from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday. Elayne Masters, Word Masters, will discuss writing tweets, blogs and posts that impress. The Internet provides public access to every word you type, so make sure your writing represents you in your best light.
