The final free concert in the park will feature Bryan Cole from 8 to 10 p.m. Saturday in the borough playground.
Also, the borough's free youth craft program will take place from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Friday for children ages 9-16.
The program is sponsored by the Etna Neighborhood Association.
Council approved construction of a 6,000-square-foot office building proposed by R.A. Glancy and Sons in a light industrial zoning district on Venture Drive.
Council also approved several site improvements to Enterprise Bank at 4091 Mount Royal Blvd. and 4088 Alpha Drive. President Victor Son abstained from voting, stating, "The potential contractor happens to be the owner of one of the subsidiaries I work for."
Also, final site plans were approved for the Meadows at Hampton, a 64-unit development of single-family residences, duplexes and condominiums on Middle Road. Manager Christopher Lochner said the applicant will revise building configurations, which were previously approved in 2005.
And, final plans were approved for the Wood Wind development on 15 acres on Duncan Avenue. It will feature 17 single-family parcels.
• A change of use extension was granted to Ying C. Chuang until Aug. 22 for property at 5130 William Flinn Highway, which is in a highway commercial zoning district. The site previously was used as a hotel/motel, and the applicant plans to reopen as such.
• BLC Enterprises of Monroeville was awarded a $10,650 contract for the stormwater detention pond maintenance program. Mr. Lochner said the township had budgeted $20,000 for the program. Work will begin in early September and be completed by the middle of December.
