North Hills woman killed today in Venango County ATV crash

An Allegheny County woman from the North Hills was killed when she was thrown from her all-terrain vehicle in Venango County.
State police at Franklin said Kristine L. Schindler, 22, of Gibsonia, was operating the ATV on Brandon Road in Rockland shortly after midnight today when the accident happened.
Police said she was westbound when she failed to negotiate a curve in the road. The ATV struck a ditch and Ms. Schindler was thrown from the vehicle. She was not wearing a helmet, police said.
Ms. Schindler was pronounced dead at the scene.
