North Hills drug suspects arrested

A dozen police departments participated in a drug roundup Friday that led to the arrests of 19 suspected North Hills street-level drug dealers.

The District Attorney Narcotics Enforcement Team's 10-month investigation, "Operation Clean Streets," targeted sales of heroin, marijuana, powder cocaine and prescription medications.

All of the suspects were arraigned before Magistrate Elissa Lang in Sharpsburg.

Police from Etna, Shaler, Franklin Park, West Deer, Frazer, Hampton, Indiana Township, McKees Rocks, Ross, Reserve, Springdale Township and Sharpsburg participated in the roundup.
