New Castle man held in wife's death

A New Castle man killed his wife Wednesday after he said she stabbed him during a domestic battle at their house on East Reynolds Street, police said.
Shawn Thomas Moore, 38, was being held in jail on a charge of homicide in the death of Alisha Moore, 36.
Neighbors reported that the couple had been fighting all day.
When police received a domestic dispute call in the evening, they responded and found Mr. Moore sitting on the front porch steps with blood on his clothing and a cut on his hand.
Inside on the first floor, officers found Ms. Moore, dead of multiple stab wounds.
Police said Mr. Moore admitted that he killed her and said she stabbed him first.
