A teenager who was killed in a two-car crash on Route 28 has been identified.

Rikki Fleming, 18, of Etna, died in the crash that occurred at 11:16 p.m. Saturday on Route 28 in Sharpsburg, the Allegheny County medical examiner said.

The road was closed briefly between the 40th Street and Highland Park bridges following the accident.

State police at Kittanning said Ms. Fleming was operating one of the vehicles, and Jared Schillinger, 28, of Cheswick was driving the other. Mr. Schillinger was not hurt, nor were two passengers in his vehicle.

Police said Ms. Fleming was northbound on Route 28 when Mr. Schillinger's vehicle crashed into the back of Ms. Fleming's. The impact caused her vehicle to go off the road and roll over. Although police indicated she was wearing a seat belt, she was ejected from the vehicle.

Police said charges are pending the results of a blood test.
