A Turtle Creek man wanted in West Virginia on charges of first-degree murder was arrested Friday by federal marshals and Butler police.

Darnell Carlton Bouie, 35, was charged in September in the shooting death of Jayar Poindexter in Clarksburg. He was captured without incident on East Locust Street in Butler. A quantity of crack cocaine was also seized in the arrest.

Bouie was arraigned as a fugitive and was being held without bond in the Butler County Prison pending removal to West Virginia.

Bouie has previously been convicted of felony burglary and numerous misdemeanors.

His co-defendant in the murder case, Ennis Charles Payne, was arrested Sept. 18 by the marshals.
