Mars Area High School events were cancelled this evening, and the entire district will have a two-hour delay with modified kindergarten tomorrow.

The schedule changes come as the high school received a bomb threat for 9:28 a.m. tomorrow, superintendent William Pettigrew said in a letter to parents and guardians.

Police and district officials conducted a sweep of the high school this evening and will do so again before school begins tomorrow, he said.

High school students will be bused to the middle school and transported to the high school at 10 a.m., Mr. Pettigrew said. Students who drive to school should not report to school until 10 a.m.

No one will be permitted on high school property until 10 a.m., he said.
