Mars Area School Board approves assistant superintendent's contract

The Mars Area School Board Tuesday unanimously approved a new four-year contract with Assistant Superintendent Matthew Friedman.

"You brought a lot of energy and new ideas," board President J. Dayle Ferguson told him.

The new contract expires Jan. 1, 2017. Starting salary is $95,000.
