Man dies in head-on crash in Connoquenessing

A man was killed Monday morning when a vehicle crossed the center line of Route 68 in Butler County and collided head-on with the truck he was driving, police said.

Mark Bishop, 52, of Butler, died when his westbound Nissan Frontier was struck by an eastbound Dodge Ram driven by Justin Enslen, 25, of Renfrew, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

The crash occurred about 10:40 a.m. in Connoquenessing Township, according to state police.

Holly Merkner, 41, of Lyndora, a passenger in the Frontier, suffered minor injuries. Mr. Enslen suffered moderate injuries.

State police are investigating.
