A judge yesterday ruled that a jury can view photographs but not the sexually explicit video allegedly sent over the Internet by a radiologist from Ross who, police said, believed he was communicating with a 13-year-old girl.
Kenneth J. Tolman, 49, is on trial on three counts each of unlawful contact with a minor and criminal use of a computer.
According to a criminal complaint, he began communicating in an online chat room last December with a girl he thought was 13. She actually was an undercover agent in the state attorney general's child predator unit.
Common Pleas Judge Jeffrey A. Manning yesterday ruled that about a dozen still photos, taken from the video, can be displayed by prosecutors on a large screen TV for examination by the jury.
