Jogger dies when struck by truck in Mercer County

A 22-year-old woman was struck and killed this morning by a Peterbilt box truck in Pine, Mercer County, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Megan M. Kays of Grove City was jogging on Airport Road. As she attempted to cross Route 58, she was hit by a box truck driven by Veronica L. Salusky, 27, of Emlenton, state police said in a statement.

Ms. Kays was transported to Grove City Medical Center and was pronounced dead at 10:40 a.m., police said.
