The Seneca Valley School District is losing one of its top administrators.

School board members on Monday accepted the resignation of Jeffrey Fuller, assistant superintendent for elementary education. He has accepted a position as superintendent of the Freedom Area School District in Beaver County.

Mr. Fuller's last day at Seneca Valley will be June 30.

Seneca Valley Superintendent Tracy Vitale said the district will replace Mr. Fuller. She said she may have a possible replacement for school board members to consider by the next school board meeting on Monday.

Mr. Fuller of Cranberry Township came to Seneca Valley in 2003 as the principal of Rowan Elementary School. He has been in his current position since 2006. He is replacing Ronald Sofo as Freedom's superintendent. Mr. Sofo has been hired as the chief executive officer at City Charter High School in downtown Pittsburgh.
