Hunter found dead in Armstrong County

A hunter who was reported as missing was found deceased in Armstrong County Saturday night.
State police at Kittanning said Richard Herbert, 66, of Ellwood City, was found in the woods near his vehicle at about 9:35 p.m.
Volunteer firefighters from Elderton and Kittanning searched the area and discovered Mr. Herbert's body after he had been reported missing at 7:40 p.m. He had been hunting in a wooded area behind McGreger's mobile home park in Kittanning.
Police are awaiting results of an autopsy to determine an official cause of death, but said it does not appear that Mr. Herbert died in a suspicious nature or due to a hunting accident.
