Heroin found during traffic stop

Some 22 bags of heroin was found in a vehicle that state police stopped for vehicle code violations.

State police at Kittanning issued a new statement on the incident today.

The police said four people face drug charges: Kevin Wesley Smith, 50, of Sarver, Brian Matthew Pastoria, 30, of Sarver, Kellie Sue Smith, 46, of Sarver, and Douglas Walter Clark, 30, of Evans City.

The traffic stop occurred Friday on Route 28 in Harmar.

In addition to drug charges, Mr. Pastoria was charged with drunken driving and Mr. Clark was charged with a state parole violation.

Police did not provide an estimated street value of the heroin.
