No one was injured in a Shaler house fire this morning, but the home is likely destroyed, police Chief Bryan Kelly said.

The fire is now under control and firefighters are only putting out "hot spots" at the house in the 70 block of Shaler Avenue, the chief said.

The blaze was reported shortly before 7:50 a.m.

A woman managed to escape the house this morning. Police believe she lived there with her husband and two children, who were not home.

Police believe the family's two other children are away at college, Chief Kelly said.

It's too early to determine what caused the fire, but Chief Kelly said the Shaler and Allegheny County fire marshals are on scene investigating. Early reports indicate the fire is not suspicious.

Anderson Road is closed between Klir Road and the entrance to Shaler Area High School.
